White Collar - Veiled Threat

Peter (Tim DeKay) goes undercover to catch a black widow (Mädchen Amick) who has left a trail of wealthy men in her wake. Much to the consternation of Misses Suit (Tiffani Thiessen) things get tricky when a single night assignment gets more complicated as the widow takes a shine to Mrs. Burke's husband.

Along the way we are also given a look at Neal (Matt Bomer) and Sara's (Hilarie Burton) first date, which is promptly interrupted by Peter's undercover assignment, but doesn't ruin the evening. There's also a humorous early segment where Peter, Neal, and Jones (Sharif Atkins) are all bidded on by wealthy women at an auction where Neal's attempts to lower his own appeal with the potential mates works far better than he had in mind.

Peter's undercover assignment gets the job done, and in attempting to make up for what it's put his wife through the show gives us a very nice (if slightly schmaltzy) ending between the Burkes.

Also worthy of note is the small supporting appearance by Jonathan Silverman which means both stars of Weekend at Bernie's have now made appearances on the show. For giving you the answer to a possible future trivia question in the near future, you're welcome. And I'm happy to see that after a somewhat lackluster episode last week the show seems back on track.
