The Big Bang Theory - The Good Guy Fluctuation

Halloween brings amusement for the entire gang at Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) expense as Leonard (Johnny Galecki) is faced with a moral quandary when a beautiful girl (Courtney Ford) hits on him at the comic book store. As Leonard's struggles over his loyalty to Priya (Aarti Mann) and his infatuation with an attractive girl who likes, and writes, comic books Sheldon plots his revenge.

Although the premise of the episode is flimsy at best (I can attest attractive young women hitting on random nerds isn't a common problem in comic book shops) the episode produces some laughs. Leonard's quandary takes him to both Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Sheldon for advice, but in the end it's his own conscience that proves the deciding factor.

Meanwhile, Sheldon's attempts to scare his friends meet with an unusual amount of failure for the genius (at least in areas where physical activity isn't a prerequisite). His early attempts, including a surprise in the mailbox, a electrified joy buzzer, and hiding a snake in Raj's (Kunal Nayyar) desk, don't turn out as planned.

The episode delivers a fun Halloween story that also looks to having lasting effects on on-going storyline of Leonard and Priya's relationship. And it shows us, given enough time, even Sheldon can stage a truly surprising Halloween trick.
