Hawaii Five-0 - Ka Hakaka Maika'i

While investigating the murder of a local restaurant owner and searching for a local band of home invaders the team finds itself immersed in the world of MMA looking for a murderer in one of the kids the victim helped get off the streets. The episode ends with McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) locked in the cage trying to hold his own against a professional MMA fighter for a charity event.

The episode does a fair job with using the popularity of MMA to its own advantage. Although the home invader angle is a good misdirect the he mystery, and eventual reveal of the killer, isn't one of the show's best.

The episode also includes McGarret's investigation into his father's (William Sadler) meeting with the Governor (Jean Smart) when Joe White (Terry O'Quinn) calls in an expert, NCIS: Los Angeles' Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), to look over the video footage. Although it gives the group a new lead it also puts Joe in danger when Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) returns to tie up loose ends.

The two storylines don't fit together as well as I'd like, and the murder investigation becomes far less interesting once the home invasion angle is dismissed, but the show delivers another solid episode with some good moments that also helps move the Wo Fat arc along.
