White Collar - Upper West Side Story

As Peter (Tim DeKay) struggles over his testimony of Neal's (Matt Bomer) recent actions the team gets a new case brought to them by an unlikely source - a high school student (Graham Phillips) at an elite private high school who believes money set aside for scholarship students is being stolen by the men (Dylan BakerJohn Rothman) in charge of the account.

Fearing Peter might decide to be a little too truthful in his testimony, Neal puts his best foot forward and finds himself standing in as a substitute teacher for one of the thieve's daughter (Elizabeth Gillies). With the help of Mozzie (Willie Garson), not only does Neal help expose the theft but helps their young friend woo the daughter, who he's had a crush on all school year.

After dropping a bombshell at the end of last week's episode the show largely leaves the prospect of Neal's possible freedom alone as he deals mostly with proving the Peter he can be an asset to the team by helping catch another white collar criminal. As to the long term ramifications of Peter's testimony and Neal's impending hearing, we'll just have to wait to see how things shake out of the rest of the season.
