The Friendship Contraction

Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) most recent craziness pushes Leonard (Johnny Galecki) over the edge, caused the friendship agreement to be dissolved. No longer classified as Sheldon's friend, Leonard finds himself freed from his usual responsibilities. Unfortunately for Sheldon, he can find no one else to pick up the slack.

In one of the series' weaker B-stories Howard (Simon Helberg), with help from Raj (Kunal Nayyar), tries to come up with a cool astronaut nickname for himself. Unfortunately, the only real purpose in the subplot is the pair a little more screentime.

Although the main story, a slight derivation of Leonard's reaction to Sheldon's crazy, works well it does end in unlikely decision by Leonard to give in at the end. Even with Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) prompting it's obvious Leonard has never been happier as Sheldon's roommate and the episode's weakness is it doesn't give a good enough reason to return to the status quo by the end of the episode (except for the fact it makes life easy on the show's writers).
