Hawaii Five-0 - Pa'ani

Pro Bowl weekend brings football fever to the island as Danny (Scott Caan), McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin), and Kamekona (Taylor Wily) procure seats for the big game. It also brings out a threeway rivalry between the Jet Fan (Danny), the Redskin fan (McGarrett), and Catherine (Michelle Borth) who it turns out is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. There's also a murder to solve when one of the tourists at a tactical ops fantasy camp in O'ahu is shot by a killer who snuck into the simulation with live ammunition.

In his autopsy Max (Masi Oka) discovers the victim was drugged 12 hours before his death to make him more maleable. "Pa'ani" also features Magnum, P.I. alum Larry Manetti as a lounge singer, and old friend of McGarrett's father, who puts them onto a bouncer and a grifter (Jenny Mollen) running scams at the local bar where the victim was drugged.

Discovering Houston Texans running back Arian Foster came to the aid of the grifter during a bar fight leads McGarrett and Danny to the Pro Bowl practices where Danny's hyper-specific football obsession manages to make the all-star running back very uncomfortable. It also gives Five-0 the name of the extortionist (Matt Bushell) who the grifter was seen fighting with earlier that afternoon.

Despite the fact that the extortionist and grifter were working together to steal company secrets from the victim's laptop, neither one is the killer Five-0 is looking for. Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim) discovers a billion dollar chip-set that the victim was working on (which didn't actually work) and a $30 million motive for the man's boss (Pat Monahan) to want the victim dead. Five-0 catches their killer, although an injury to McGarett forces Danny to miss the game and his once in a lifetime chance at meeting Peyton Manning. However, Kono and Catherine make it onto the sideline for the big game and get Danny a little present to remember the occasion.
