Green Lantern: The Animated Series – Ranx

Hal Jordan (Josh Keaton), Kilowog (Kevin Michael Richardson), and Razer (Jason Spisak) are ordered to the abandoned planet Ranx where Aya‘s (Grey DeLisle) are attacking the planet's formidable force field in hopes of retrieving a hidden weapon. Realizing the three of them will not be able to repel such a force, the Guardians also send the Green Lantern Corps led by everyone's favorite GL Honor Guard Guy Gardner (Diedrich Bader).

Using the Blue Lantern meditation technique to temporarily purge the threesome of all emotion Hal, Kilowog, and Razer sneak through the Manhunter force while Guy rallies the troops for another attack. Allowed through the force filed with a small group of Manhunters the threesome fight to stay alive and search for the source of the signal Hal has been receiving ever since they entered Ranx space, the new home of the detached head of the Anti-Monitor (Tom Kenny).

Talking with the Anti-Monitor, who is now in control of the weapons of an entire planet, the group not only learn how it survived Aya's attack but what Aya's plan for the universe is: to travel through time and reshape the universe in her image. Aya's arrival, and subsequent takedown of the entire Corps leads her to the planet's surface and the head of the Anti-Monitor which she destroys in order to retrieve the time traveling weapon she sought to remake all of creation.

The return of Gardner gives us the resumption of Hal and Guy's amusing rivalry, even if they only get one scene together. Aside from the return of the Anti-Monitor the episode also gives us cameos for several members of the Green Lantern Corps including ChasonLarvox, and Ch'p, and the first mention of John Stewart as Earth's new Green Lantern.
