Covert Affairs - There Goes My Gun

In Hong Kong to end the game with Henry Wilcox (Gregory Itzin) once and for all Annie (Piper Perabo), Auggie (Christopher Gorham), and Calder (Hill Harper) can't have any mistakes. Of course that means things start immediately going wrong. After failing to grab Henry's courier, and the only link they have to the spy in Hong Kong, Annie plays a hunch and uses the Hong Kong Police to identify the man the courier handed-off Wilcox's $200 million in diamonds. Although successful, the man turns out to be a Chinese spy (Carl Ng) which presents a new obstacle which Annie turns into a new opportunity by cutting a deal with the man to give up Henry in return for allowing the spy to keep all of Henry's diamonds.

The snatch-and-grab plan doesn't go any smoother as Wilcox is warned that Auggie and Calder are in Hong Kong only minutes before the scheduled meeting with the Chinese spy. Turning the tables once again, Henry manages to get away clean leaving Calder to choose Plan-B and take their hostage back to the U.S. hoping he knows enough to save their skins and take down Henry once and for all. Annie, however, has intention of leaving Hong Kong with Henry Wilcox still at-large. Out of moves, she decides the simplest approach is the best walking right up to him men on the street and coming face-to-face once again with the man she's been hunting off-the-grid for months.

Things are no easier in D.C. where Wilcox targets both Arthur (Peter Gallagher) and Joan (Kari Matchett) after Arthur discovers his lawyer (Zuleikha Robinson) has been working for Henry the entire time. "There Goes My Gun" offers a chance for Auggie and Annie to start repairing their relationship, but the episode also points out several times that Annie isn't the same person she was before she faked her death and went dark foreshadowing potential trouble for the couple down the line. Auggie remains in Hong Kong to help, but from the looks of the episode's final scene setting up next week's season finale, Annie is going in alone to battle wits with Henry Wilcox and get the job done, no matter what the cost.
