White Collar - Shot Through the Heart

As Neal‘s (Matt Bomer) struggles to deal with the fact the woman he loves is nothing more than the perfectly-created profile created by a thief and murderer with her own agenda, and is forced to continue the relationship rather than tipping the FBI's hand, Peter (Tim DeKay)and his team search for a way to bring Rebecca (Bridget Regan) down for the murders of both David Seigel (Warren Kole) and The Dutchman‘s (Mark Sheppard).

It's been an awfully long time since we've seen Neal Caffrey played, and other than Alex Hunter (Gloria Votsis) I'm not sure if we've ever seen a woman on the show play the con man so well. Feeling the sting of being the conned instead of the con man, Neal suspects everything about Rebecca (including her feelings for him) are a lie. Peter on the other hand is far less sure, and tries his best to spare his CI any further pain.

As the episode comes to an end Neal finds a way to close the Hagen case (destroying the blackmail video) and lead the FBI to arrest Rebecca who is actually a former MI5 operative with a long list of crimes to pay for. With Rebecca in prison, Hagen dead, and Peter and Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen) on their way to D.C., nothing stands between Neal and Mozzie (Willie Garson) and a priceless diamond that now no one else is searching for. With only two episodes remaining we're left with another treasure hunt, the possibility of Neal running again, and the fallout from Neal and Rebecca's relationship which, from next week's tease, might come quicker than expected.
