Scorpion - Dominoes

In the show's first Christmas episode the team races against the clock to save a boy trapped under a rock slide on the beach before he's drowned by the incoming tide. While the convergences of several of Sylvester's (Ari Stidham) phobias make him initially useless, at least until he gets a pep-talk by the right person, Walter (Elyes Gabel) takes charge eventually providing just the kind of Christmas miracle needed to inspire his sister (Camille Guaty) to continue fighting her illness.

For a show about geniuses and facts Scorpion works awfully hard to give viewers a Christmas miracle in time for the holidays. Although it gets a little too cutesy in places, such as the Hallmark greeting card reunion of Happy (Jadyn Wong) and her father, "Dominoes" delivers on the tension and genius maneuvering of the team that allows them to save a little boy's life despite impossible odds. And the office Christmas party continues to foreshadow an eventual Walter/Paige (Katharine McPhee) romance which may eventually bloom somewhere down the line.
