Beauty and the Beast - Both Sides Now

Tired of living life on the run, Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) decide to go on the offensive and lay a trap for the super-human assassin (Alexander Cendese) who has been on their trail for three days by eloping at Niagara Falls. Despite Catherine's gung ho attitude, Vincent struggles with the ruse, real or not, especially when it leads down an aisle to a very real minister in a very chintzy chapel.

Encumbered by the police protection Tess (Nina Lisandrello) is fighting to keep on them, J.T. (Nina Lisandrello) attempts to shed his detail to investigate a new lead while while Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson) sends her guards away to win the approval of a potential boss (Gloria Votsis) who, in a coincidence so large it nearly shattered my television screen, is actually the woman behind the super-human assassins.

"Both Sides Now" proves to be a turning point in the season but something of a hollow victory for our heroes. J.T.'s single-mindedness to help Vincent costs him his relationship with Tess. Catherine's hidden brutal streak ends any chance (for now) of getting answers out of Juliana about the reasons for her experiments and the mysterious adversary she alluded to who she assumed the pair was working for. But, hey, at least the lovebirds are back on the same page for their wedding plans. That's got to count for something, right?
