Darth Vader #13

After crash landing both himself and Darth Vader on the desolate planet of Vrogas Vas, Luke Skywalker begins to examine a long abandoned Jedi Temple. As for the Dark Lord of the Sith, Leia sends everything the Rebellion can spare to take him out before he can either escape or get his hands on Luke. It's not enough. Not even close.

Darth Vader #13 showcases just how fearsome Darth Vader can be as he takes down whatever resources the Rebels throw out him, seeing the troops, ships, tanks, and more as nothing but mild annoyances interfering in his search for young Skywalker. With everyone else concentrating on Vader, Han and Chewie set out to rescue Luke while Aphra takes steps of her own to secure Darth Vader's prize using her killer robot's likeness to a certain nosy protocol droid to her advantage.

The second chapter of Marvel's first Star Wars crossover offers plenty of action from the title's star, a look at a vengeful Leia still reeling from the destruction of Alderaan and her hatred of Vader, and Luke at the mercy of an assassin with the perfect bait to trap a trusting farm boy. Worth a look.

[Marvel, $3.99]
