Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - Fox on the Run

Seeking to set right a past wrong, Gamora (Vanessa Marshall) ditches the rest of the Guardians and attempts to return the Gravity Matrix she once stole for Ronan to the planet of Soonevh. Unaware she's walking into a trap set by Ronan (Jonathan Adams) and Nebula (Cree Summer), Gamora is forced into gladiator-style combat to save the planet (if not herself) from Ronan's wrath. Thankfully, her pals don't hold her zapping them into submission against her and show up just in the nick of time.

Keeping the look of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, the animated series lacks the humor and wit of the theatrical release. The Guardians banter falls mostly flat while the episode's focus on Gamora means we don't see all that much of the rest of the team in this episode (except in reaction to her decision making). Gamora attempting to make good, and punish herself for past wrongs, certainly make sense for the character and the series, it just doesn't make for great television.
