Darth Vader #22

In this issue Darth Vader fights a Rancor. And not just a Rancor, but a cybernetically-engineered monster sent by its creator to slow Vader down. What more could you want?

Okay, there is also some story here as Vader slowly carves his way through the enemy ship searching for the traitor Cylo. Despite besting the man's scientist and all cybernetic threats to block his bath, the Dark Lord of the Sith is outmanuvered as Cylo's plan comes to fruition and the renegade is able to steal the new Super Star Destroyer Executor right from under Darth Vader's nose. I'm guessing the Emperor won't be pleased.

Darth Vader is also beaten in the comic's back-up story (although he is not yet aware of it). With the murderbots Triple-Zero and Beetee fulfilling Vader's command to bring Aphra back their former master, Aphra is able to retake control of her creations and plan yet another improbable escape. Some days it just doesn't pay to be an evil Sith Lord. Worth a look.
