Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Adapted from Ransom Riggs' novel of the same name, Tim Burton's latest tells the story of high school outcast named Jake Portman (Asa Butterfield) who is drawn into a mystical and macabre world following his grandfather's (Terence Stamp) death as he discovers all the childhood bedtimes stories told to him are actually based on real people and real events just waiting for Jake to find them.

As a film Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children features all the trademarks of Burton's style, although without Johnny Depp or Helena Bonham Carter the movie feels more serious and less madcap than several of the director's more recent projects. As a story, the movie feels very much like a book (somewhat akwardly) adapted to film. The odd story moves in fits and starts introducing Jake's life prior to his grandfather's death, his psychoanalysis, and his journey to England with his father (Chris O'Dowd), before getting down to introducing Miss Peregrine (Eva Green in the role Helena Bonham Carter would usually play) and her unusual students all trapped in a time-loop in a single day during WWII where they are safe from the monsters hunting them.

Blindspot - Hero Fears Imminent Rot

While the rest of the team is busy hunting the group responsible for a series of bombings around New York, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) is given a test by Sheppard (Michelle Hurd). Although Jane will fail her assignment to kill as ordered to by Sandstorm, Roman (Luke Mitchell) will step in to cover for his sister. Shaken from the experience, but now accepted by the organization, Jane is offered some ominous words of wisdom from her brother stating he will do whatever it takes to bring back the sister he lost before Sandstorm wiped Jane's memories. Roman also suggests Sandstorm's plans will now proceed quickly (which would be news to both the show's writers and its audience).

Detective Comics #940

"Rise of the Batmen" concludes with our team of heroes taking down the Colony thanks to the quick thinking, and risk taking, of Red Robin who makes himself the target of all the Colony's drones. His sacrifice saves the lives of hundreds in the city, but to do so Tim Drake will have to make the ultimate sacrifice... or so it would appear.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Meet the New Boss

Continuing to lay the groundwork for later episodes, "Meet the New Boss" is most notable for introducing Jeffrey Mace (Jason O'Mara) as the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Along with filling us in that the job could have been Coulson's if he wanted it, the latest episode also reveals a good working relationship between the two men (which could be tested in the next few weeks). While the government inspection of the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility provides most of the episode's humor, and allows Coulson to geek out when called up, it takes up quite a bit of air time without offering any immediate payoff (other than to suggest O'Mara's character is based on the comic character of the same name).

Longmire - One Good Memory

"One Good Memory" wraps up the search for Donna (Ally Walker). Despite tracking down Walker Browning (Callum Rennie), and further infuriating the Cumberland Sheriff (Tom Wopat) in the process, as well as identifying the person (Mac Brandt) responsible for fire-bombing the doctor's car, the true culprit (Carrie Lazar) proves to have complicated motives for kidnapping the psychiatrist. By the end of the episode Donna will be safe leaving Walt to deal with other problems (such as his pending lawsuit) over the remainder of the season.

Atomic Robo and the Temple of Od #2

"The Temple of Od" continues as Atomic Robo and Helen are captured by the enemy and taken back to their secret laboratory. Thanks to the timely sneak attack of Helen's friends from Shanghai, after some verbal sparring with Atomic Robo and his captors, Robo is given just the distraction he needs to sneak into the lab with Helen and find the missing scientist, Dr. Lu.

The Big Bang Theory - The Military Miniaturization

"The Military Miniaturization" is a fine, if forgettable, episode. In the main story Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), and Howard (Simon Helberg) fret over the ethical implications surrounding the Air Force's offer to fund their research. The back-up story features a pissed-off Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) learning that Penny (Kaley Cuoco) accidentally spilled the beans about her pregnancy to her coworkers (possibly costing her lead on a big project). The episode's only real stand-out moment comes when Sheldon reacts silently to the Air Forces pitch (although the scene would have been more memorable had the scientist been able to keep his silence throughout the entire sequence).

Once Upon a Time - The Savior

While leaving the return of the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) to be explored next week, the season premiere of Once Upon a Time focuses primarily on Emma (Jennifer Morrison) who begins having shakes and visions following the arrival of Hyde (Sam Witwer) and an unknown number of companions from the Land of Untold Stories. Exploring just who and what the Savior is appears to be one of the season's big themes, which begins with a flashback revealing that Emma isn't the first Savior and is followed much later by the revelation of what end fate has in store for Emma courtesy of both Hyde and the Oracle (Jordyn Ashley Olson). As to the identity of the villain destined to take down the Savior, we'll just have to wait and see who it is revealed to be.

The Shadow: The Death of Margo Lane #4

After paying a visit to one his most loyal soldiers, Dr. Tam, Lamont feels steady enough to continue his search for he illusive Red Empress. Star Wars Rebels - Steps Into Shadow

Set a few years after the events of "Twilight of the Apprentice," Star Wars Rebels begins its Third Season with an older Ezra (Taylor Gray) leading missions for the Rebellion, a blinded Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.) spending most of his days in seclusion, and the Empire bringing in new resources to deal with the Rebel threat by enlisting the assistance of Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen). For the first time in the series the Rebels will be pitted against an Imperial officer willing to play the long game and not fall for the Rebels' usual tricks. Since we've seen him last Ezra hasn't grown any less reckless but he has grown more powerful in the Force thanks to the Sith Holocron which he's kept secret from his master and shipmates but the changes in his demeanor haven't gone unnoticed by his friends.

Trinity #1

Written and drawn by Francis Manapul, Trinity #1 focuses on the DCU's big three: Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The most low key of any number one issue following the Rebirth relaunch, the first issue of the new series involves Lois inviting Bruce and Diana to dinner at the farm in order to get to know them (and force Clark to do the same). After a brief misunderstanding with Supes, Jr., things calm down quickly and allow the group to spend some non-life-threatening time together.

Hawaii Five-0 - Makaukau 'oe e Pa'ani?

Over the course of the episode Five-0 will discover multiple sets of victims while their new adversary will taunt them leaving two serial killers in the cops' lap to find. As the case becomes a media circus McGarrett gets a personal call from the new Governor (Rosalind Chao) wanting to case dealt with as quickly, and quietly, as possible.

The Good Place - Tahani Al-Jamil

Eleanor Shellstrop's (Kristen Bell) determination to prove that her neighbor Tahani Al-Jamil (Jameela Jamil) is an awful person leads her to spend some time with her neighbor, eventually admit her mistake, make a new friend, and discover that she isn't the only member of The Good Place who doesn't belong. Continuing to show us Eleanor's selfish behavior before her death, "Tahani Al-Jamil" continues to allow the character to grow in the afterlife (while fighting her initial instincts). The discovery that Tahani's silent soul mate Jianyu (Manny Jacinto) was also wrongly added to the community suggests Michael (Ted Danson) wasn't ready to oversee his own heavenly suburb. It also raises the question, what else might be wrong?

Stranger Things - Chapter Four: The Body

The search for the missing Will (Noah Schnapp) intensifies as Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is able to contact him over the radio for Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and his friends. Making a comparison to Dungeons & Dragons, the boys conclude that Will is stuck in the Vale of Shadows - a dimension of decay and death Eleven calls the Upside-Down which is just outside their reach... unless someone opens a rift between the two realities. After giving Eleven a makeover the group heads to school to use the ham radio and attempt to talk with Will. They are able to do so, although they encounter their small victory over the bullies following the assembly will have some repercussions.

Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #2

The new threesome of Batgirl, Black Canary, and the Huntress put aside their differences and work together to learn more about the new hacker who has adopted Babs' old moniker of Oracle. For Batgirl this means a lecture from her father (who in new DCU following DC Rebith apparently doesn't know the identity of the young redhead under the cowl).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

The sequel to 2014'a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles returns Megan Fox and the rage-roid Turtles for a new adventure when scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) breaks the Shredder (Brian Tee) out of prison and helps the leader of the Foot Clan assemble the pieces for a dimensional portal to open the way for General Krang (Brad Garrett) and his Technodrome.

Introducing the characters of Casey Jones (Stephen Amell) and mutants Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly) and Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams), Out of the Shadows plays closer to the themes of the cartoon. While still flawed and ridiculous at times (as in how it gets Fox into a slutty schoolgirl outfit), Out of the Shadows is an improvement thanks to the new characters and better story. Will Arnett returns for comic relief as cameraman turned city hero Vernon Fenwick. Laura Linney also joins the cast as the police chief whose loyalties and motivations swing wildly depending on what is required in each scene to scene.

The Blacklist - Esteban

The search for Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone), Tom (Ryan Eggold), and the baby begins. In Cuba, Reddington (James Spader) calls on the help of nefarious character, and secret CIA asset, Manuel Orentez Esteban (Paul Calderon) in hope locating Lizzie. The show's writers go a bit overboard with the creepy eye-less Esteban who, desipite all his influence is limited in the help he can provide. Reddington and his team are too slow on multiple occasions to rescue Lizzie from Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen). While Tom fights an inglorious death in the middle of the jungle, Red and his team are able to at least temporarily rescue the baby, but even the team's small victories prove short-lived.

Wonder Woman #6

The rotating storylines of the series continue to flip-flop as Wonder Woman #6 takes us back to Diana's origins showcasing her return of Steve Trevor and her arrival in "Man's World."

Longmire - A Fog That Won't Lift

Longmire's new season begins just moments after the Fourth Season finale with Cady (Cassidy Freeman) finding her father bleeding to death of a gunshot wound. Despite barely surviving, Walt (Robert Taylor) leaves the hospital only half a day later in search of the missing Donna (Ally Walker) who no one knew was with Walt during the attack and has been abducted (or worse) by the person responsible for shooting the sheriff with his own gun and leaving him for dead. Over the course of the season premiere Walt will fight the concern of his friends and family and the mental fog which leaves him with only scattered moments of the shooting.

Blindspot - Heave Fiery Knot

Given the mission from Sandstorm, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and the FBI investigate one of her tattoos that leads the team to a corrupt DEA agent (Ed Moran) selling government-captured guns, including stinger missiles, to drug cartels. Continued to be frozen out by her former friends (who let her be tortured in a CIA black site for months) while seeing the the Sandstorm missions expose corruption and take down dangerous people, Jane continues her internal debate on which side she should be fighting. Weller's (Sullivan Stapleton) distancing while dealing with his father's death and the truth about the woman he hoped Jane Doe was isn't helping matters.

The (Not-Quite) Magnificent Seven

The remake of 1960's The Magnificent Seven starts in much the same manner, with a over-the-top villain (Peter Sarsgaard) threatening the prosperity of a peaceful farming town. Unable to protect themselves a small group (Haley Bennett and Luke Grimes) leave the town looking to hire gunmen with their meager resources. What they find is bounty hunter who helps recruit a motley crew of cowboys and outlaws willing to take on impossible odds for little reward.

Lethal Weapon - Pilot

Well, at least it's better than the new Rush Hour TV-series. Yeah, that is an incredibly low bar. The show's "Pilot" introduces us to Clayne Crawford as the new Detective Martin Riggs, a Texas good 'ol boy relocated to Los Angeles after the death of his wife and unborn child six months earlier. Riggs' new partner is career cop Roger Murtaugh (a completely miscast Damon Wayans) coming off of heart surgery and not ready for the crazy antics of his new partner. The pair's first two cases involve a bank robbery Riggs solves by killing all three suspects and blowing up the bank (which doesn't get him suspended) and a soldier's apparent suicide which is obviously something more.

Astro City #38

A companion piece to Astro City #37, the latest issue of Astro City remains in the Roaring Twenties. The musical theme remains as well, but while several other heroes are mentioned, the comic's central focus is on Jazzbaby. Listening to the music of the city, Jazzbaby is able to find, and anticipate, trouble.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - The Ghost

Set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. begins its Fourth Season with the Sokovia Accords firmly in place requiring all super-powered beings to be registered with the government. For Daisy (Chloe Bennet) that means life back on the run continuing to hunt down the Watchdogs. For S.H.I.E.L.D. that means increased funding, bureaucracy, and oversight and a new director who will go nameless over the course of the season premiere.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #2

While still keeping the focus on Red Hood, Red Hood and the Outlaws #2 introduces us to one of the characters who will eventually make up a third of the new team. While attempting to acquire a weapon for Black Mask, Jason Todd runs into an unexpected complication in the form of the Amazon Artemis who is also searching for a powerful weapon on the derailed train. While it takes the a little while to consider they may be after different prizes, the pair fight and then form a tentative truce as the series reveals just what Black Mask is after - the eventual third member of the team.

The Big Bang Theory - The Conjugal Conjecture

The Big Bang Theory begins its Tenth Season on the eve of Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) renewing their vows in front of friends and family. While Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard fret about the possibility of their parents (Judd Hirsch and Laurie Metcalf) sleeping together after their rehearsal dinner, Penny brings her bickering family (Keith Carradine, Katey Sagal, and Jack McBrayer) in from Nebraska and Howard (Simon Helberg) frets over a member of the U.S. Military's interest in talking with him.

Green Lanterns #6

The opening arc of the series concludes as Jessica Cruz is able to overcome her doubts and anxiety and save her partner from the Red Lanterns. Although Jessica and Simon are successful in destroying the Hell Tower and driving the Red Lanterns from Earth, things are far from settled as Atrocitus and Dex-Starr have left a gift deep within the Earth's core which will one day create all new problems for the Green Lanterns. However, Jessica's effect on Bleez also suggests that something has fundamentally changed for Atrocitus' most valued lieutenant. We'll just have to wait and see what that means for both Corps. Worth a look.

[DC, $2.99]

The Good Place - Pilot

Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) wakes up in the afterlife to learn she's died and made it into an exclusive community in heaven simply called "the Good Place" where her soulmate Chidi (William Jackson Harper) is waiting and she can look forward to a blissful eternity. There is however one problem. It seems Eleanor only got into heaven because of a clerical error. Sure, the saleswoman was no murderer, but she did sell fake medicine to old people (among other flaws), and didn't exactly earn her cushy spot in paradise.

Lucifer - Everything's Coming Up Lucifer

Lucifer returns for it's sophomore season with the Devil on edge wondering where his wayward mother may be and what kind of revenge she has in store for him. At first Lucifer (Tom Ellis) suspects his mother's involvement in his latest case involving the murder of a Hollywood stand-in with devilish implications. Although that turns out not to be true, the case does allow Lucifer to work out some mommy issues before finally helping to nab the murderer (Rusty Schwimmer). As for his mother, the premiere waits until it's closing episode to introduce us to "Mum" (Tricia Helfer).

Hadrian's Wall #1

I love a good murder mystery. Unfortunately, after one issue I'm unsure if Image Comics' new series fits the bill. Filled with more emotional baggage and drama than actual mystery, Hadrian's Wall #1 introduces us to retired investigator Simon Moore who is brought out of retirement to investigate the mysterious death of the man who shot him, stole his wife, and ended his career.

The Transformers: The Movie

Set 20 years in the future after the events of the show's Second Season, 1986's The Transformers: The Movie is memorable for killing off several major characters, introducing new concepts into the canon, and (despite its flaws) remaining the best theatrical Transformers movie. The strength of the film comes in it's opening act during the Decepticons' attack on Autobot City on Earth. Making way for new characters such as the energetic Hot Rod (Judd Nelson) and the crotchety Kup (Lionel Stander), the sequence kills off several original characters including Prowl (Michael Bell), Brawn (Corey Burton), Ratchet, Ironhide (Peter Cullen), and Optimus Prime (Cullen).

Mockingbird #7

Mockingbird's voyage aboard a super-hero fanboy cruise to the Bermuda Triangle continues as she and Hunter become deputized to investigate the murder aboard the ship of a stranger who believed he had important information to help Hawkeye who currently stands trial for killing a defenseless Bruce Banner. One of the strengths of the series so far is the comic's tongue-in-cheek nature. That said, Mockingbird #7 is the first issue of the series where things begin to get out of hand as Chelsea Cain is so quick with quips gags, in-panel jokes (such as what each character's favorite cocktail is) that the actually story gets stalled for too much of this comic.

Scorpion – The Complete Second Season

Scorpion's Second Season continues the adventures of the team of super-geniuses saving the world from whatever calamity is threatening it this week. While continuing to deny his feelings for Paige (Katharine McPhee), Walter (Elyes Gabel) begins dating a woman (Brooke Nevin) he saves from having a bomb strapped to her chest while Paige finds temporary companionship with a Homeland Security agent (Scott Porter) and, after quite a few flirtations and false starts, two other members of the team will finally give into their feelings for each other.

Highlights include the team saving southern California from the dangerous after-effects of an earthquake, stealing a satellite weapon from an African dictator, getting stuck in a malfunctioning smart building they designed, take a trip to Cuba, and stop a Russian satellite from crashing into California. Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) get stuck in a snowstorm, Walter rescues Paige and Ralph (Riley B. Smith) from a runaway subway car, Scorpion takes a trip on a nuclear submarine, and the team plays super-hero.

Hal Jordan and The Green Lantern Corps #4

The comic's title character is mostly absent in the latest issue as following Hal Jordan's capture at the hands of several members of the Sinestro Corps the fate of the most recognized Green Lantern is questionable going into next month's issue. Unable to confront his former pupil turned nemesis, Sinestro makes due with introducing the captured Guy Gardner to the Fear Engine which helps power his Corps.

The Big Bang Theory - The Complete Ninth Season

The Ninth Season of The Big Bang Theory will finally see Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) tie the knot (with still issue to work through) and some big changes for Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) relationship which will go through a break-up and an unexpected reunion and escalation of the pair's relationship. Howard (Simon Helberg) will deal with loss and impending fatherhood, and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) will juggle two women vying for his affections.

Not the strongest season of the show's near decade run, other memorable moments include the return of Wil Wheaton, the boys' road trip, and psychotherapy for both Leonard and Penny.

Uncanny X-Men #12

Magneto's plan for his team of X-Men takes a turn when he proposes a partnership with the Hellfire Club. Psylocke balking at the idea of joining the Hellfire Club also leads to a flashback of Magneto recruiting Betsy as the most unlikely member of his team of X-Men.

Stranger Things - Chapter Three: Holly, Jolly

Nancy (Natalia Dyer) begins to regret her night of passion with Steve (Joe Keery) as she begins to suspect something awful has befallen her missing best friend Barb (Shannon Purser). The discovery of Jonathan's (Charlie Heaton) stalker-esque pictures will both make her further question Steve and provide a clue to her missing friend. While the show threatens to turn Steve into a classic cliche, it seems Stranger Things has larger plans for her boyfriend and more complex plans for the Jonathan/Nancy/Steve dynamic.

Blindspot - In Night So Ransomed Rogue

After spending three months in a CIA black site tortured for information she couldn't possibly know or remember, Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) escapes. Tracked down by a super-secret branch of the NSA, it's head (Archie Panjabi) enlists the help of Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and his team to bring Jane in and put her back to work to take down the terrorist organization known as Sandstorm which is responsible for more than a dozen domestic terrorist attacks, wiping Jane's memory, and the murder of Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste). Sending her back in undercover, a wounded Jane runs into another hazily-remembered face (Luke Mitchell) from her past who leads her straight to Shepherd (Michelle Hurd), the allusive head of Sandstorm.

Supergirl #1

Following the events set up in Supergirl: Rebirth #1, the first issue of the new Supergirl series centers around Kara Zor-El's struggle to fit in to her life on Earth. Kara struggles against the limitations of both her new cover identity as high school student Kara Danvers and her role with the DEO who want to monitor, and control, when and where the Kryptonian teenager uses her newly-restored powers.

Hawaii Five-0 - The Complete Sixth Season

The Sixth Season of Hawaii Five-0 continues the rise of Gabriel Waincroft (Christopher Sean) whose plans include taking out other organized crime leaders and getting Kono's (Grace Park) husband sent to prison for murder. Grover (Chi McBride) will also get a chance to close a case concerning his former friend and a Federal Prosecutor (Ingo Rademacher) begins a quest to prove corruption inside Five-0.

Highlights include heartbreak and a new love interest for McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin), Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) discovering family in trouble, the introduction of Julie Benz as a mole withing Five-0 and love interest for Chin, the two-part season finale, Adam's (Ian Anthony Dale) prison escape, buried pirate treasure, Danny (Scott Caan) and Grace (Teilor Grubbs) getting stranded when his car is stolen, and another unusual case on Halloween.

Glitterbomb #1

Glitterbomb #1 follows a pretty basic horror set-up where our protagonist is exposed to something dark and inexplicable which changes her life. In the case of the new series from writer Jim Zub and artist Djibril Morissette-Phan our lead character is middle-aged actress Farrah Durante struggling to keep her acting career alive in an industry where experience is a detriment. A night on the beach leads to contact with some malevolent force, changing Frances in odd ways and allowing her to release her anger at being passed over for roles in the most extreme way possible.

Son of Zorn - Return to Orange County

The opening episode of the new series introduces us Zorn (voiced by Jason Sudeikis), the Defender of Zephyria, Conqueror of the tribes of Agon, decapitator of the dark herdsmen of Grith, who leaves the animated Pacific island to return to California for his son Alan's (Johnny Pemberton) seventeenth birthday. Zorn immeadiately stands out, not because he's animated in a live-action world, but because of his warrior nature and complete disregard for, well, everything. Unable to connect with his son, Zorn decides to stay in town a while longer, get a desk job, and try to fit in.

Haunted Honeymoon

Haunted Honeymoon may not be one of Gene Wilder's best movies, but it does feature a cast and set-up worth seeing. Wilder and real-life wife Gilda Radner star as voice actors for the radio drama Manhattan Mystery Theater. Plagued by panic attacks which could cost him both his job and a chance at marriage, Larry (Wilder) agrees to an unusual solution proposed by his uncle (Paul L. Smith). Heading home to the castle where he grew up for his wedding, Larry agrees to a form of shock therapy where everyone involved in the wedding party will be involved in the attempt to shock him to death and force him to deal with his panic and fear.

Green Arrow #6

Green Arrow #6 shifts the focus off of Green Arrow and Star City as it follows Emiko and Shado back to Tokyo. Burdened by the betrayal she's committed, we're given flashbacks of Emiko's time with Ollie in Star City while she works out a way to put things right with the Yakuza who, unknown to her, Shado was still working for as a mole for the Ninth Circle.

Stranger Things - Chapter Two: The Weirdo on Maple Street

Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) decide to bring back the rain-soaked Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) to Mike's house, although Lucas shares some serious doubts about trusting the weirdo they found in the woods. While getting to know his new friend, Mike begins to suspect Eleven knows something about Will (Noah Schnapp) and may be able to help the boys find their missing friend. Meanwhile the police organize town searches through the woods searching for any sign of the missing Will, without finding any new clues as to what happened to him. The discovery of the murdered diner owner only raises more questions to the unusual events in Hawkins.

Everafter #1

Fables may be completed, but it seems there are still stories left to tell. Taking place in a world where magic runs rampant and no longer has to hide, Everafter #1 introduces us to The Shadow Players (network of both Fable and mundane agents tasked with policing a newly enchanted world). The first issue gives us a trio of Shadow Players (Bo Peep, Hansel, and Peter Piper) searching a zombie-infested train station for a "package" their boss wants found. Things get even more interesting with one member of the team chooses his own agenda over the mission.

Atlanta - Streets on Lock

Following the parking lot shooting which was alluded to in both the opening and closing scenes of the Atlanta's first episode (but not actually shown in either episode so far), "Streets on Lock" picks up events the following day as Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry) is processed and released to discover the overblown story of what happened has earned the aspiring rapper new street cred while Earn (Donald Glover) stews in holding, with a bizarre cast of characters, while waiting to be processed. Although to be fair, the folks Paper Boi runs into on the street aren't necessarily any less colorful (or any more sane).

Romantic Comedy Triple Feature

This Romantic Comedy Triple Feature collects three relatively recent romantic comedies in one set which is perfect if you need to torture your boyfriend but not much good for anything else.

Made of Honor is a pretty bland reversal of My Best Friend's Wedding with Patrick Dempsey discovering he has romantic feelings for his best friend (Michelle Monaghan) after she asks him to be the maid of honor at her wedding. Read the full review.

The Wedding Planner isn't that much better starring Jennifer Lopez as a wedding planner who falls for the one of her clients (Matthew McConaughey) and ruins his impeding wedding to his fiance (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras). Home-wrecking has never been so sickly sweet.
