Infamous Iron Man #4

Doctor Doom's attempt at a heroic turn as Iron Man continues as the former super-villain sits down with Commander Maria Hill aboard the S.H.E.I.L.D. Helicarrier. Okay, the fact that he wasn't welcomed (and they attempted to arrest him), doesn't get off to a great start, but things could certainly have gone worse. Although he doesn't convince Hill of his good intentions, he does manage to leave without making things worse. And he learns an important piece of information that leads the former monarch of Latveria home.

There are two stories here, equally entertaining. The first is professional in the constant struggle Doom will deal with if he ever hopes to make his role as Iron Man permanent. The second is far more personal as Doom returns to a war-ravaged country which hasn't fared well in his absence. Returning to find Ben Grimm, Doom finds much more than he bargained for including a confrontation in the next issue which should go quite a ways in telling us which path Victor von Doom is destined for. Worth a look.
