The Flash - Dead or Alive

"Dead or Alive" introduces another traveler from Earth-19 in collector, AKA bounty hunter, Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) who shows up on Earth-1 in search of H.R. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) who broke his Earth's most important law in choosing to travel to a parallel world. Given that H.R.'s sentence is death, his friends attempt to stop Gypsy from leaving with him. Inspired by both a need to save a version of Harrison Wells and his obvious attraction to yet another deadly female, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) volunteers to fight, not realizing it's a fight to the death with someone with his powers but far more experience using them.

I enjoyed how the latest episode played on Cisco's previous villainous infatuations while introducing a possible new love interest for him. "Dead or Alive" also forces Cisco to take his training a bit more seriously and challenges him to use his powers in new ways. Although his victory over Gypsy is somewhat questionable, the planning for this also helps to incorporate Julian (Tom Felton) as a bigger part of the team.

When not trying to help H.R., Barry (Grant Gustin) and Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) both have their hands full of Iris (Candice Patton) who has become reckless and obsessed with leaving her mark since learning of her impending death. Chasing a dangerous story with no fear, since she already knows the date of her death, Iris nearly gets herself killed. The subplot does include a cute scene of her distracting Joe (Jesse L. Martin) while Wally can make off with some police evidence. I'll also admit to enjoying the LEGO scale model of the future.
