Arrow - Tribute

Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) faces attacks on two sides in "Tribute." First, the release of a photograph of him as Green Arrow creates a media frenzy around the Mayor of Star City, creates trouble for his son at school, and launches a FBI investigation into his life. And second, the reappearance of Anatoly Knyazev (David Nykl) is problematic with the Bratva soldier and his men kidnap visiting dignitaries and hold them for ransom. The episode B-story also finally delves into just what's wrong with Diggle (David Ramsey) since his return from Lian Yu.

The culimation of the episode is far too easy to see coming. Diggle finally admits he needs to tell Oliver about his condition only to have Ollie step in first and ask his friend to take over the duties as Star City's vigilante. Diggle's limitaions suggest that his time under the hood may not turn out to be all that long, the question is will they be ended by his choice or someone else's? The twist of having the picture of Ollie turn out to be fake isn't all that surprising, although the FBI wanting to stick around and keep tabs on the Mayor is likely to be less-invasive given that fact and now that Oliver has given up his night job. As to who might be behind the stunt, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
