G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero - Sssilent Missions (Baroness)

Continuing to honor the original “Silent Interlude” issue from G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #21 published in 1984, Image and Skybound offer up another in a series of silent issue one-shots featuring different characters. This time, with a little snake humor added to the title, we get the Baroness. While it's a little hard to make out exactly what the plans were for each character before chaos ensues, they are beautifully drawn.

The issue features the Baroness and Destro both separately attending the opera in what feels like conflicting orders from Cobra Commander or some intensely violent foreplay that leaves two separate targets dead, and a public fight between the pair (after the Baroness sniper bullet bounces off of his mask), which seem all but forgotten by the time of their romantic rendezvous. It's fun, but like most of these one-offs far from as good as the comic that inspired it.
