Scandal - Blown Away

As Olivia (Kerry Washington) continues work at the White House now that Vice President Sally Langston (Kate Burton) has assumed the duties of the President following the assassination attempt on Fitz (Tony Goldwyn), Olivia Pope & Associates are approached by Huck (Guillermo Díaz) who has been framed for the crime. The former government assassin was lured to the hotel room where a remote controlled sniper rifle was used to try and kill the President of the United States and is now in possession of the murder weapon.

Helping Huck means finding his missing girlfriend (Susan Pourfar) who was used to lure him to the hotel room and whom everyone, except Huck, believes is likely the real shooter. Only by tracking her down can Huck finally accept the truth and discover the pair have far more in common than he ever believed.

Cyrus (Jeff Perry) begins to believe Dan (Dan Bucatinsky) is cheating on him when the reporter begins to lie about his whereabouts to cover up his investigation into Cytron and possible election fraud that won Fitz the election. Finding out the truth offers him no comfort and forces him to make the once concession which he believes may force Dan to drop the story for good.

President Langston begins to flex her muscles by blackmailing Supreme Court Justice Verna Thornton (Debra Mooney) to give up her seat on the Bench. However, Thornton has one last card to play to save both her legacy and her spot the Supreme Court by offering Langston the name of the man everyone believes tried to kill the President. With Huck arrested and indefinitely detained for attempting to kill the President, the Cytron story still be investigated by Dan and David Rosen (Joshua Malina), and the possible resumption of Abby's (Darby Stanchfield) relationship with Rosen the show has plenty to dig into when it returns after the holiday break.
