Columbo - Suitable for Framing
Murder Mystery Monday takes us back to the television detective who always had one more thing to ask. "Suitable for Framing" features the murder of an art collector (Robert Shayne) by his nephew (Ross Martin) who, with the work of an accomplice (Rosanna Huffman) manages the perfect alibi. And, closing off any connection to the crime, he murders her as well and leaves as much evidence as possible pointing towards his aunt (Kim Hunter).
Given some incongruities with the crime, Columbo (Peter Falk) has his sites set on our killer from the start, even when evidence appears to point him in a different direction. Unable to break his alibi or find proof of the crime, Columbo's only chance involves playing on the man's impatience and taking a risky gambit that eventually pays off when his lead suspect walks right into the trap Columbo has laid.
