Elementary - Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing

Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) are called in to investigate the odd occurrence of a staged fake murder leading to a double homicide. Th unusual staging of the crime scene, first by the victims and later by the killer offers an unique puzzle for the detectives to unravel. It's the B-story involving Watson's investigation into Morland Holmes (John Noble) which will prove to have more serious consequences for everyone involved.

Holmes and Watson are eventually able to nab their killer by linking the true motive behind the murders to a not so worthless piece of land in upper New York which turns out to have more than enough value to be a motive for murder. As for Joan, when her mole within Morland's company turns up dead as part of an apparent quadruple homicide which will appear to the NYPD as a robbery gone wrong, this means she'll have to put the number of white lies aside and be straight with Sherlock with what she's been doing over the past few weeks. Of course the man may have indeed been in the wrong place at the wrong time, but Morland's ominous appearance in the brownstone prior to the murders certainly shifts suspicion for the crimes onto Sherlock's father.
