Legacies - Life Was So Much Easier When I Only Cared About Myself

There's an awful lot happening in "Life Was So Much Easier When I Only Cared About Myself" as Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) banishes Alaric (Matthew Davis) and Kaleb (Chris Lee) into the simulated fictional reality to keep them both out of the way as the evil Josie (Kaylee Bryant) returns to the school on her birthday threatening to force the Merge early meaning either she or Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) will die. Part of Josie's party includes the Necromancer (Ben Geurens) announcing his return to the entire student body and setting up a duel between sisters which the Tribrid hopes to find a way to stop (or at least prevent one of the sisters from dying).

MG (Quincy Fouse earns a nice moment here, in convincing Lizzie to stay and fight against some rather long odds that Hope's plan might work. Only marginally successful, Hope's Plan B does buy Lizzie a second chance (although the school, and villains, still believe she died at Josie's hands). Rafael's (Peyton 'Alex' Smith) connection to the Necromancer is revealed as well leading to serious ramifications for Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) if indeed the golden arrow proves to be as powerful as advertised. With Hope trapped in Josie's mind, in an attempt to reach the good still within her, the school loses two heroes in the matter of minutes. Alyssa Chang (Olivia Liang) also becomes a casualty, although she's resurrected as another tool for the Necromancer. That's quite a cliffhanger given that the season finale is still to come.
