The Librarians and the Silver Screen

Directed by Jonathan Frakes, "And the Silver Screen" offers an amusing adventure when Flynn (Noah Wyle) and Eve (Rebecca Romijn) become trapped in one of the Guardian's favorite film noirs. Doing their best to complete the story, the pair only find themselves stuck in a loop and will need the help of Jenkins (John Larroquette) uncovering a hidden truth about the film, and the other Librarians (trapped in other films), to break the cycle and make it back to the real world.

Wyle (who also wrote the episode) and Romijn are obviously enjoying themselves here (and you've got to admit, she looks great in black-and-white). The B-story of the other Liberians allows Stone (Christian Kane) to show off his musical talents as a singing cowboy and reveal Cassandra (Lindy Booth) to be a bit of a sci-fi geek. If I have a nit to pick here it's with Stone's ass-kickery as latest season of The Librarians seems to sometimes forget Kane is no longer playing Leverage's Elliot Spencer.
