Daredevil - Shoot the Moon

Marginally advancing the season's plot, "Shoot the Moon" feels mostly like a filler episode where we get to spend time with various characters and get to see a couple of sequences highlighting our hero's new costume while also showing us that Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) has learned a few things from her boyfriend. The Northern Star is still pivotal to the plans of both heroes and villains, but no real movement is made. Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) is confirmed to be the man who saved Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) but the reasons for his actions, and later attack on the anti-vigilante squad, aren't explored.

Much of the episode focuses on our heroes being stymied and trouble inside the mayor's mansion. There's no follow up to Matthew Lillard's introduction. BB (Genneya Walton) is confirmed to be the one behind the underground anti-Kingpin campaigns (but only to the audience as the character faces no immediate repercussions), and in some not-so-subtle foreshadowing we get the tease of potential new White Tiger in sequences involving the task force going beyond the law, specifically against immigrants, in what feels very much like commentary against ICE. There's some pieces here, and some individual character moments, but it's also an episode you could completely skip over without missing a beat.
