Killjoys - How to Kill Friends and Influence People

The Second Season of Killjoys comes to a close with Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen), Johnny (Aaron Ashmore), and D'Avin (Luke Macfarlane) working alongside Khlyen (Rob Stewart) and Fancy (Sean Baek) to break into a bank and destroy the source of the yellow goo found and developed on Arkyn. The job turns out to be a little more difficult than expected, and one member of the team won't make it out alive. "How to Kill Friends and Influence People" also delivers a few answers about Khlyen and his connection to both the ooze and to Dutch's insane doppelganger Aneela (who it appears will be a major player next season).

For a season that has seen the show go down the rabbit hole with a bizarre storyline involving parasitic ooze and grand conspiracies of genocide the finale takes Kiljoys back to basics giving the team a job, unexpected casualties, and a hollow victory as "How to Kill Friends and Influence People" works to both wrap up most of the lingering threads of this season and lay the groundwork for Season Three. There are a few surprises along the way including Khlyen sacrificing himself for Dutch and the Quad, and Johnny's final encounter with Delle Seyah Kendry (Mayko Nguyen) as the finale dispenses with two major supporting characters. The return of Clara (Stephanie Leonidas) is an unexpected surprise as well, and I look forward to see what next season has in store for her and Johnny.
