Batman: Caped Crusader - Dead Before Dawn
After an entire season of teasing his presence, the Joker (Matthew Needham) makes a very public debut killing Hattie Tetch (Laraine Newman) and her entire crew during a live broadcast of her TV-show before announcing he would kill Mayor Jessop before dawn. Batman (Hamish Linklater) arrives at the broadcast in time to take down the henchmen, and glimpse his new nemesis, but the Joker manages to escape. However, he won't have to wait long for another confrontation.
What we get in "Dead Before Dawn" is a far more controlled and calculating version of the Joker than we've seen in recent years, but still crazy enough to sacrifice even his own henchmen to a gruesome end just to stay one-step ahead of Batman. However, the true evil of the mastermind is revealed long after his initial victims have died as their bodies are revealed to be zombie carriers of his toxin infecting others into crazed abominatios, including someone quite close to our Caped Crusader.
