KCFCC 56th Annual James Loutzenhiser Awards

The Kansas City Film Critics Circle met for the 56th time for our annual James Loutzenhiser Awards on Sunday, January 16th. Winners awarded included Drive My Car, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Mass, Licorice Pizza, Summer of Soul, West Side Story, Flee, and The Power of the Dog which took home awards for film, director, and lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

ROBERT ALTMAN AWARD FOR BEST DIRECTOR: Jane Champion, The Power of the Dog

BEST ACTOR: Benedict Cumberbatch, The Power of the Dog

BEST ACTRESS: Olivia Colman, The Lost Daughter

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: CiarĂ¡n Hinds, Belfast

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Ann Dowd, Mass

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY: Licorice Pizza

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY: West Side Story

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY: The Tragedy of Macbeth

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE: The Mitchells vs. the Machines

BEST FOREIGN FILM: Drive My Car

BEST DOCUMENTARY: Summer of Soul

VINCE KOEHLER AWARD FOR THE BEST SCIENCE FICTION/FANTASY/HORROR FILM: The Green Knight 

TOM POE AWARD FOR THE BEST LGBT FILM: Flee
