Rick and Morty - One Crew Over the Crewcoo's Morty

Heists are the the theme of "One Crew Over the Crewcoo's Morty" in what starts out as a Morty (Justin Roiland) adventure where he and Rick (Roiland) rob a tomb only to find out that a they have been beaten by a heist artist known as Miles Knightly. Rick's bruised ego leads to a trip to HeistCon, putting a crew together, mind-control on an epic scale, the destruction of HeistCon, putting more crews together, robots who take Rick's programming way too literally, and the destruction of an entire planet. Oh, and the destruction of Morty's dreams.

While talking trash on the heist formula for the entire episode, Rick uses it to his advantage over and over again (including making sure Morty won't lose interest in their adventures in favor of developing a heist film with Netflix with a little side-heist of Morty's love of heist films - yeah, things get more than a little meta here). Whether he admits it or not, Rick obviously shares his grandson's love of heists, even putting together the team (a process he badmouths over and over while obviously enjoying himself). Some interesting characters are thrown in to fill out various crews over the course of the episode including the return of Mr. Poopybutthole (Roiland) and the introduction of Truckula. While the episode is framed around heists, "One Crew Over the Crewcoo's Morty" shows off Rick's ego putting the entire universe in danger once again. Thankfully, with logic stolen from War Games, things go back to normal (well, except for the entire population of Gramuflack).
