Finally putting the infighting behind them, the Umbrella Academy and the remaining members of the Sparrow Academy come together in an attempt to defeat the Kugelblitz and save the world. Although initially successful, by the end of the episode the universe is still in danger and the Sparrows are down two more members. "Auf Wiedersehen" postpones the fight between Viktor (Elliot Page) and Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) over the fate of Harlan and provides a sweet moment between Luther (Tom Hopper) and Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez) in the calm before annihilation comes calling again.
The episode also continues Reginald (Colm Feore) teaching Klaus (Robert Sheehan) to control his powers and overcome his fears where the dead are concerned foreshadowing more to come. While there is obviously some scientific curiosity behind Hargraves' actions, his true goal is not yet revealed (although we get a reference to a deal he has made with one of the Sparrows).
