Sherlock & Daughter - The Great Fleece

"The Great Fleece" is a an episode of reunion as having deciphered their communication network Sherlock Holmes (David Thewlis) lays a trap allowing for the return of both Dr. Watson (Seán Duggan) and Mrs. Hudson. However, the episode is also one of revelation where the true villain of the series is revealed to be Michael Wylie (Joe Klocek) whose various machinations are nothing more than theater and distraction allowing him first to rob the Bank of England and then later return the money but not before profiting greatly during its short absence. We're even given a scene with the young man gloating over his victory to his father (Dougray Scott) that also teases to the connection to America and the Red Thread's interest in killing Clara's (Gia Hunter) mother.

Clara isn't given much to do in the first-half of the episode other than overhear Lady Violet Somerset's complicity (Fiona Glascott) in the plot and the crucial use of debutante ball in the villains' plans. However, Clara and Holmes do reconvene after the bank heist and together put the pieces of the mystery together. All of this leads to finale where the Great Detective and Clara will need to stop the villains at the ball before it is too late.
