The Librarians: The Next Chapter - And the Memory Crystal
On the campus of the nearby university, Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan) and his companions search for a crystal capable of allowing one to discover potential knowledge but at the cost of their own memories. The group discovers that the crystal has fallen into nefarious hands by a scientist (Paul Leonard Murray) attempting to steal glimpses into the future while at the same time stealing the past events and memories of students and faculty, rewriting history so the events of those individuals never happened. Things get even more complicated when Charlie's (Jessica Green) recent memories are stolen as well, but it's not just her memories at stake as the continued existence of the entire group is about to be overwritten.
To stop the villain from getting an impossible upgrade which would threaten the fabric of time, rewriting their own timelines and leading to each of them being wiped from existence), Vikram puts his own memories at risk which are lost temporarily but restored thanks to some teamwork with Connor (Bluey Robinson) in recovering the crystal. The episode teases Charlie glimpsed something important of the future during the period of time where she was almost wiped out of existence, but this information isn't shared with the Librarian or her friends potentially foreshadowing something may be afoot heading into the later half of the season.
