The Wheel of Time - Tel'aran'rhiod
While Rand al’Thor‘s (Josha Stradowski) awaits for the arrivals of the chiefs of the Ariel Waste, Egwene (Madeleine Madden) begins training to control the dreaming allowing her to help Moiraine Damodred (Rosamund Pike), who is still coming to terms with what she saw in the rings, send a desperate message home but also come upon a dark secret Rand has been keeping concerning Lanfear (Natasha O’Keeffe). At the White Tower, a trap is laid to discover if Elaida (Shohreh Aghdashloo) is Black Ajah, Min (Kae Alexander) officially joins Elayne (Ceara Coveney), Nynaeve (Zoë Robins), and Mat (Dónal Finn) in their search for the Ajah, and in the Two Rivers Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) and his friends attempt a rescue.
With the focus of the episode split in so many directions none move forward all that much, with most pieces here furthering events to payoffs elsewhere, but the episode does allow for revelations for Egwene and Morgase Trakand (Olivia Williams) whose discovery that Elaida may not be the villain she seems (or at least not the one she is working for) while Moiraine's warning puts her in a precarious position within the Tower. Perrin's rescue is successful but not with a cost, although the most interesting aspect of his story takes place not in his but in that of Egwene who sees a possible glimpse of his future in the dreaming. And while Rand waits for what is coming his dreams may have betrayed him and possibly cost him dearly.
