Legends of Tomorrow - Aruba

The season finale of Legends of Tomorrow is a solid wrap-up to the events of the show's Second Season involving the Spear of Destiny and the time-travelers battles with the Legion of Doom. For the first time the characters get a bit more cavalier with their time-traveling lifestyle as the return back to the events of a previous episode, where they will be faced to deal with their younger selves creating a time quake that the Legends will still be feeling the effects of next season. For the finale, however, this becomes rather entertaining as the group first attempts to alter events without their younger selves knowledge before being forced to bring them all into the fold.

The episode has several strong moments including several involving the Legends meeting themselves and Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) making a difficult call about what to do with the Spear of Destiny. For the second time the Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) gets a big death scene, but can a time-traveling speedster ever really be gone? I was curious to see what they show would do with Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). While their solution means the character won't rejoin his former teammates the move, like Sara's involving the spear, turns out to be a great character-building moment for Mick (Dominic Purcell). The episode also tease the departure of Captain Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), but given the disaster that the Legends unleashed in time you wonder if the character will return for Season Three after all.
