Arrow - Longbow Hunters

While Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) has gone back to ground, his minions (assassins known as the Longbow Hunters armed with high-tech weapons) rob an A.R.G.U.S. facility of a super-battery. Not willing to leave it to A.R.G.U.S. to find Diaz, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) enlists the help of Curtis (Echo Kellum) and Rene (Rick Gonzalez) to track the missing tech. Diggle (David Ramsey) will get a closer look at Kodiak (Michael Jonsson) and Red Dart (Holly Elissa) when the assassins attack a train in search of a WMD which the battery can power. While protecting the train, Diggle will also get his shot at Diaz, although his choices only further strain a friendship. If Felicity wants helping hunting Diaz, she needs to look in a different direction.

The episode's B-story throws the two former Black Canaries together as Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) shuns police protection to go after Diaz on her own. Thankfully Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) has her back with the pair run into another Longbow Hunter in Silencer (Miranda Edwards) who turns out to be the most impressive of all three assassins. Seriously, these are some bottom of the barrel super-villains. The team-up also lays further groundwork for Laurel's possible redemption. "Longbow Hunters" also includes more flash-forwards to the older William (Ben Lewis) and Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) on Lian Yu which seems to paint a dreary childhood for William and a summons that will lead the two off the island and back to Star City.

Although we don't get an appearance by the new Green Arrow, the original's trials being bars continue. In prison Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is given a new challenge by Brickwell (Vinnie Jones) who promises information in exchange for a favor. After much thought, Oliver finds an original solution to the problem (not willing to cause the dickish, but honest, prison guard harm). Having helped Brickwell, what is the chance that he will deliver on his promise? And what did happen Oliver, Felicity, and the rest to abandon William for years? Only time may tell.
