The Wild Storm #21

Although it checks in with the warring factions, the primary focus of The Wild Storm #21 is with Jenny Mei Sparks and the team she has put together. After learning about the existence of Apollo and Midnighter, and their stand against Skywatch, Jenny is all up for adding two more members of the group. It's Jack Hawksmoor that makes the connection about what Skywatch was after, along with a rather on-point comment about how crazy his world has become.

We also get a rare human moment from Jenny admitting the mistakes she's made allowing the world to get to the brink of Armageddon and reminding her group about what is at stake. Although the pair get the cover, Apollo and Midnighter don't earn much more than a cameo (but it appears Jenny plans to change that as soon as possible).

Now more than 20 issues in, Warren Ellis is starting to pull the various strings tighter together as Jenny's team moves one-step closer to acting (something I can't wait to see). Worth a look.
