Lucifer - O, Ye of Little Faith, Father

Unable to use Chloe (Lauren German) to take down Lucifer (Tom Ellis), Father Kinley (Graham McTavish) approaches the Devil and attempts to drive a wedge between the pair by providing some half-truths about Chloe's trip to Rome and her desire to force the Devil back to hell. While investigating the murder of former gang members who had each turned their lives around, Lucifer catches his partner in a lie and struggles with what to do next while he begins more and more to compare himself to the victims and Chloe to the murder unable to allow for the possibility of redemption.

Continually stuck in douche-mode, Dan (Kevin Alejandro) takes up Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) on her offer to beat up some bikers connected to the case involving two former gang members killed, which also tracks back to the McKinnley storlyine who created the entire string of events as a way to prove the Devil is indeed walking the streets. The reveal that the murders were all an elaborate plan by Father Kinley to allow Chloe to see the vengeful Devil close-up fails as Lucifer begins to suspect there is far more going on that what it appears. This doesn't help him with Chloe, who finally comes clean and arrests Kinley for his mad plan, but cannot completely accept the truth she now knows about her partner. In the episode's waning moments we learn about a prophecy the preacher was attempting to prevent from coming true. However, his choice to drive a wedge between Lucifer and Chloe may only have hastened the evil he was attempting to stop as Lucifer's old friend hits town and the show offers us a first glimpse at Eve (Inbar Lavi).
