Batman: Caped Crusader - The Devil's Due
The rise of a Bat-cult led by the Mad Monk (Blythe Melin) leads to some momentary public image problems when the idea that Batman (Hamish Linklater) has turned to murder is floated by Hattie Tetch (Laraine Newman). However, she'll learn how wrong she is when both she and Gordon (Eric Morgan Stuart) are kidnapped and offered as sacrifice to the con artist's imaginary bat god.
I've never been that big a fan of "good guy obviously framed" storylines. "The Devil's Due" is at least short which is arguably more problematic as it doesn't drag out people being suspicious of Batman long enough to have any effect. There are some nice visuals in Batman fighting off the cultists in the park, along with his arrival at their cathedral, but "The Devil's Due" feels mostly like a filler episode whose only tie to ongoing storylines is Hattie's influence over her listeners (which was already well established in the first episode of the season).
