The Librarians: The Next Chapter - And the Burning Heart
The Librarians: The Next Chapter returns for a new season with Vikram (Callum McGowan), Lysa (Olivia Morris), Charlie (Jessica Green), and Connor (Bluey Robinson) investigating a disturbance of explosive anger at a boarding school leading to disagreements, physical altercations, and even some bursting into flames. The setup allows for a magical reason to explore the groups fears and nagging insecurities, bonding them more heavily by the end of the season premiere.
Oliva Morris makes the best of the script, allowing Lysa's pain to be revealed not only to the other Librarians but also by an angry teenager (Isidora Brkic) whose father has just been killed by magic. The other notable piece to "And the Burning Heart" is the introduction of Dominic Monaghan as Merlin who presents himself as a friend to the Librarians, although the final scene of the episode suggests he may instead be the season's big threat.
