The latest episode of Teen Titans Go! takes a look at the challenges of both doppelgangers and dating. Looking for someone else to play "Caveman and Dinosaurs" with Beast Boy (Greg Cipes), Cyborg (Khary Payton) tricks Raven (Tara Strong) into creating a duplicate of himself, but soon finds himself left out of all the fun. His solution to trick Raven into creating a duplicate of Beast Boy only makes matters worse as the doubles get out of control in "Double Trouble."
In the second short, "The Date," Robin (Scott Menville) kidnaps and impersonates Speedy to blow his rival's first date with Starfire (Hynden Walch). After pulling away her chair and throwing food at her face his mission seems like a success, at least until Speedy shows up dressed as Robin leading the pair to battle all over the restaurant. The episode also includes Robin getting dating advice from Beast Boy and Cyborg and facing the wrath of a Tamaran princess scorned when Starfire learns the truth.
When my DVR cut-out I missed the final minutes of "Double Trouble" but I still enjoyed both stories. I like the idea of Teen Titans Go! using the Green Arrow/Batman rivalry from Batman: The Brave and the Bold and using it here with their sidekicks. Although Robin doesn't get the girl, watching the two go at it in each other's costumes was fun.
