Pretty Little Liars - The Bin of Sin

Rarely over the show's five seasons have the Liars done so much to hurt their own cause in so short a time. Last week's discovery of A's stash of evidence connected to Mona's (Janel Parrish) murder sends Hanna (Ashley Benson) into a frenzy. Dragging Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) along for the ride, Hanna decides to destroy all the evidence inside the storage locker rented in her name including an ominous barrel which may or may not hold the remains of her friend. Sadly, in doing so she ties both herself and Caleb to the locker and its single remaining piece of evidence when Toby (Keegan Allen) and Tanner (Roma Maffia) run across them at the facility.

Hanna and Caleb aren't alone in their questionable decision making. Tracking the movement of Mona's laptop, and wrongly deducing Hanna is to blame, Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) are led into a death trap at a factory in the middle of nowhere where two of the Liars would have met a chilly end if not for Emily's timely intervention. Romance is also hit hard as Spencer and Toby's relationship is further strained as he attempts to balance his responsibilities and his girlfriend's secrets and Aria decides to preempt an A attack by sharing her college essay with Ezra (Ian Harding) leading to an unexpected, but no less painful, reaction.

Any hope of the Liars getting out from under A by letting Alison (Sasha Pieterse) take the fall ends here as the puppet master simply watches as the Liars do his/her dirty work and incriminate themselves in the eyes of the police. The only positive for any of the Liars this week is Emily finally warming to her new co-worker Talia (Miranda Rae Mayo), who may offer the kind of rebound romance she needs to get over Paige (although from the wide range of emotions and somewhat calculated actions I'm not entirely convinced Talia didn't arrive in town without a little help from A).
