The Umbrella Academy - The Secret Stages

When the simple plan to go home fails, Five (Aidan Gallagher) decides to throw a Hail Mary and go in search of his younger self (Sean Sullivan) who is in Dallas just prior to leaving the Commission and returning to 2019. One big obstacle is that the closer the two Fives get to each other the more each begins to show the effects of the seven stages of paradox psychosis (which gives the episode its title) putting Luther (Tom Hopper) in the middle of two increasingly paranoid and bloodthirsty time assassins. Meanwhile, Lila (Ritu Arya) convinces the Handler (Kate Walsh) to give Diego (David Castañeda) a chance with the Commission allowing Number Two to discover what causes the new apocalypse.

It turns out Klaus (Robert Sheehan) is right, it usually is Vanya (Ellen Page). Tied in with Diego's discovery, Vanya is tortured and pumped for information by the FBI who fail to realize that the scared young woman isn't a Russian agent and the drugs and electroshock are only forcing harmful memories she doesn't want returned and hastening their demise and quite possibly being the catalyst to cause the end of the world. Less clear is Vanya's connection to Harlan (Justin Paul Kelly) who appears to be physically hurt by the torture to Vanya (not that his parents would notice). To help save her sister, and the world, Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) is forced into a hasty farewell with her husband, but do the trio of Diego, Klaus, and Allison have enough time to prevent Vanya's unfortunate attack on the timeline?
