Moon Knight: Black, White & Blood #1

Moon Knight is the latest character to get a black-and-white anthology mini-series featuring a collection of separate stories in monotone punctuated by splashes of red. The highlight of Moon Knight: Black, White & Blood #1 is "So White. Yet, So Dark" in which an annoyed Moon Knight allows Spider-Man to tag along on some "Egyptian stuff" involving someone attempting to bring Anubis into the world waiting for Spidey's chance to ask for a pretty humorous favor from Mr. Knight.

Sadly, neither of the other two stories are nearly as entertaining. In "Anubis Rex," Moon Knight is working with a young girl who is Khonshu's priestess in some form of dystopian future to battle those possessed by Ra's scarabs. And in "The End" we get a backward told story of Moon Knight ending up bleeding on the ground after working to try to protect a witness in time to testify against the mafia.

[Marvel, $4.99]
