Percy Jackson and the Olympians - I Play Dodgeball with Cannibals
Created more as obstacles than people, I had forgotten how aggravating all the supporting characters of Percy Jackson and the Olympians could be whether they be friend or foe. The DNA of these stories is that no one is capable of taking on the challenge outside of our hero and his friends, mostly through neglect, casual disinterest, or sheer stupidity. Percy Jackson and the Olympians is back, and little has changed.
While introducing Percy's (Walker Scobell) cyclops half-brother Tyson (Daniel Diemer), the season premiere is mostly about a foreboding of danger ahead as Percy, Tyson, and, Annabeth (Leah Jeffries), make their way to Camp Half-Blood where not a single person seems concerned with the danger to come.
As for our third amigo, Grover (Aryan Simhadri) has completed the impossible quest of finding the remains of Pan, however he's captured by others looking for a mystical artifact believed to be in Pan's possession. No doubt tht Percy's new quest will be to seek out the Golden Fleece, rescue his friend, and save the camp of half-bloods who apparently have little interest in their own survival if it means paying the slightest attention to their biggest hero.
