100% Wolf
In 2020's 100% Wolf Freddy Lupin (Ilai Swindells) is disappointed, and banished, following his first ever moonlight transformation not into a werewolf but into a werepoodle. Shunned by his family, who believe he is cursed for losing a valuable relic years before, Freedy makes new friends on the streets and in the dog pound of the nearby town finding common ground with dogs (who apparently, for some reason, don't normally get along with werewolves).
Of the various characters Freddy meets, the most notable are the streetwise Batty (Samara Weaving), the volitale chichuana Twitchy (Loren Gray), and the gaseous Bruno, and Hamish (Akmal Saleh). The villain of the movie is Freddy's uncle Hotspur Lupin (Rupert Degas) using the absence of Freddy's father to take control of the pack and push his own agenda against the city's dog population with the help of a local scientist (Jane Lynch).
Eventually, by accepting his appearance and the frienship of the dogs he's met, Freddy manages to save the day, end his uncle's shenanigans, and return to the pack triumphant. Despite an unlucky 2020 release, many found the film on home video during the pandemic. A broadly fine and goodnatured story about learning to be yourself, the Australian film was successful enough to launch both a television series and a sequel.
