Green Lantern #32

Heading into the next issue's main event, which has already been reported to hand over the title from Hal Jordan to Kyle Rayner, meaning I'll be giving this comic a wide birth for likely quite a long time, Green Lantern #32 offers a look at what might have been with Hal and Carol spending a night together in Paris with his plans to propose interrupted by a robbery by Cupid and separate quests for both characters pushing them, again, in different directions.

You could call Green Lantern #32 sweet if the reality of events weren't so cruel providing the foreshadowing that something monumental is about to happen to both Hal and Carol separately. Even if both survive there's a good chance they won't be the same by the time the pair reconnect down the line. It's a nice story, but what it forebodes really sucks for any happy ending for these characters (at least any time soon).
