Will Trent - We're Looking for a Vampire
After having his car break down while visiting Caleb (Yul Vazquez), Will (Ramón Rodríguez) insinuates himself into an odd case where the victim was exsanguinated, with a pair of marks on her neck, and left in the middle of a giant pentagram with the leading suspect being her coworker who happens to identify as a vampire (Devin Druid). Certain the young man is being set up, Will sets out to find out who really killed the young woman.
The oddity of the case is really secondary to Will and Caleb working together allowing Will to let loose some of the rage that's been building and allow for both bickering between the pair and a cathartic release of admissions to close out the episode. Elsewhere, Amanda (Sonja Sohn) is shaken after preventing an armed robbery leaving Angie (Erika Christensen) and Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) to chase down the second robber with the help of the ditzy dame (Rachel Walters) dating them both.
All the separate stories touch on trauma in different ways with Amanda reliving her shooting while in the middle of the robbery, Ormewood still attempting to prove himself after his surgery, Will releasing his bottled feelings onto Caleb, and even the young vampire coming to terms with unresolved feelings towards his father who he blames for his mother's death.
