Nights #18
Opening with closure to the events on the island with Agent Tsukumari vowing to keep their continued existence secret, a promise he keeps, Nights #18 works as a bridge between the Chimera arc of the past and the "present" of 2004 by highlighting various moments of Tsukumari's life including his partnership with Gray (whose secret he continues to protect), his rise up the ranks of Chimera, and his first (and later last) meeting with Ivory.
Although less succinct than a more focused story, there's an awful lot to enjoy here (including some terrific art by Luigi Formisano). I enjoyed this Chimera arc, exploring the past of Tsukumari (and to a lesser extent Gray), with a few nuggets and hints of importance sprinkled in along the way, but I'm definitely ready to get back to the comic's original timeline with Vince and Gray's relationship and to see what happens with Gray from here.
