Supergirl - The Martian Chronicles

As teased in the previous episode, a pair of White Martians come to Earth in search of M'gann (Sharon Leal) in "The Martian Chronicles." Initially rejecting the help of the D.O.A., M'gann eventually is talked into accepting their proctection from J'onn (David Harewood) which leads to Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and her friends being trapped in the D.O.A. with a pair of shape-shifting Martians out to kill M'gann's friends and return the traitor home to Mars.

"The Martian Chronicles" embraces the horror set-up of the episode complete with paranoia among the small group of trapped agents. Who is a monster? The ability of the Martians to read minds makes it extra-difficult to find impostors. Eventually things break down into a big free-for-all with Kara taking down of of the creatures and J'onn and M'gann double-teaming the other. In a somewhat surprising movie, M'gann chooses to leave Earth and return home. The episode also deals with Kara's awkwardness with Mon-El (Chris Wood) after shooting him down and some sibling issues between Kara and Alex (Chyler Leigh), who chooses spending time with her new girlfriend over celebrating the anniversary of Kara's arrival on Earth. While I understand the reasons behind both, combined the subplots make Kara come off a bit needier than I'd like.
