Psych - Heeeeere's Lassie

While investigating an apparent suicide Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) decides to take the dead man's apartment, despite the apartment building's notoriety for being haunted. However, shortly after moving in he begins to see and hear unexplained events that cause Lassie to hire Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill) to find out what's really going on.

Despite the fact that Henry (Corbin Bernsen) and Juliet (Maggie Lawson) uncover a history of tenants dying violent deaths, including the previous two tenants of Lassiter's apartment who both began acting erratic before their deaths, Shawn, in an unusually pragmatic matter, dismisses the possibility of ghosts and is convinced someone is gaslighting his friend to drive him mad.

Originally believing the creepy caretaker (Louis Gossett Jr.) is responsible, Shawn must turn his attentions in other directions when the man turns up dead. Finding and unmaksing the real culprit (Sara Rue) is only half the battle as Shawn has to stop a hallucinating Lassiter from murdering Gus with his Civil War cutlass.

A fun, if bizarre, episode that has more than a few nods a winks to The Shining as well as some talented guest-stars. William Shatner also makes a late appearance as Juliet's father Frank as Shawn comes clean about his intentions to propose.
